Upgrade Your Smartphone

image

If you’re planning to upgrade your smartphone check out Mind Of Geek’s detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy Note® II,

“Samsung has again delivered a device like no other with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The second generation of the Samsung Galaxy Note, the phone that brought the term “phablet” to the mouths of millions of smartphone users and fans, capitalizes on what made the first-generation Galaxy Note (see our full review here) great by improving it inside and out.

The Galaxy Note II, if you are OK with the possibility of having to use Bluetooth often (or you have extra large hands) is a great device, one of the best we’ve ever tested. The Multi-Window feature brings a whole new experience to using a smartphone, and had me hoping that someday, someday, we may see this feature on smaller handsets, and admittedly on iOS (especially the iPad or iPad Mini).”

Review of The New Samsung Galaxy Note® II
Imagine yourself holding a new smartphone. Now imagine that this smartphone comes with the newest Android™ operating system, Jelly Bean, and the dependability of Verizon, which has more 4G LTE coverage than all other networks combined. You can use this phone as a sketchbook and notebook, with its large HD screen and S pen. This phone is the Samsung Galaxy Note II, and it’s packed with features most creative thinkers only dream about. Wonder what 30 days with this new device would feel like? Check out the highlights from Tech FanatiX’s 30 day review below or click here for the full story

“As a multitasking beast, this smartphone does not disappoint. Samsung brought a slew of new handy features to their very sleek Android overlay. The ability to watch a video and take notes or send a text simultaneously, a pop up browser for viewing web links without launching a separate browser, split screen for running two apps at the same time and easily bouncing back and forth between the two, and much more.

After 30 days with the device, my answer for all of you is ABSOLUTELY YES!! Yes, Yes, Yes.  Drop whatever you are doing, and head to the Verizon Wireless store nearest to you and get your Note 2 immediately; however, before you open the box, be aware of one thing!  Once you pick this phone up … there is no. turning. back.”

As part of the leadership team for Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue (GPSAR), a volunteer group dedicated to finding lost persons, Mark Hopkins understands the importance of being connected. A matter of seconds can be the difference between life and death for a missing person, and fast, reliable communication within the search party is key to being effective.

Verizon Wireless is helping the GPSAR organization carry out its important work by providing 4G LTE technology and devices like the Droid RAZR Maxx and Verizon JetPack. Now, whether GPSAR is working out of a car or out in the field on a search, they have vital tools at their fingertips.

“The speed of 4G LTE is an advantage, and the network works in more places that I would have thought and is growing every day. Verizon Wireless 4G LTE has really become invaluable to Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue.”

Tech Tops Holiday Shopping Lists This Year

“The results of a new Tech Bargains survey were recently released, and they show that 53% of consumers will spend more than half of their holiday shopping budgets on electronic devices. Of the tech gifts people expect to buy, tablets are, not surprisingly, the most-wanted items of the year.

What is surprising is exactly which tablets customers are expecting to buy. 33% of those surveyed expect to buy Google’s Nexus 7 tablet, while only 30% expect to buy an iPad. The iPad Mini and Kindle Fire HD are tied in the survey, with 24% of respondents expecting to buy each, and 12% will be buying the Microsoft Surface hybrid laptop/tablet device.

What gadgets are on your shopping list this year? Reblog this post and let us know!”

What’s Your 4G IQ?

Chances are you’re familiar with the 4-H Club, you’ve stayed in a four-star hotel and you can name a four-star general. But what do you know about 4G? For those only vaguely familiar with the term 4G, it refers to the fourth and latest generation technology for data access over cellular networks. 4G wireless networks are much faster than 3G networks and provide more capacity (or bandwidth) needed to access all the applications and programs now available on smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.

Two key advantages of 4G LTE are its incredible bandwidth and its ultrafast speed, enabling the user and businesses to access the Internet from a mobile device as quickly and seamlessly as you do from the computer in your office.

To learn more about how 4G LTE is Transforming Health Care see below and click through.

Transforming Health Care
The ability to experience the Internet, untethered with no wires attached, with virtually no latency or delay — all at super-fast speed — opens a world of new possibilities for business, improving your efficiency and productivity while offering the tools to run a business at full strength.

The New Normal

4G LTE also can enable Emergency Medical Technicians and ambulance medical technicians to transmit patient data to emergency room doctors while in transit, thus expediting care upon arrival at the hospital; by the time the ambulance arrives, the patient has been admitted, medical records have been pulled and care can begin immediately.
