Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation’s largest 4G LTE wireless network, recently activated new 4G LTE service in Acton, Massachusetts. This private investment further expands 4G LTE coverage in Acton.
Within Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE service area, Verizon customers with 4G LTE-enabled devices can post status updates and photos, surf the Web, share music, and download files at speeds up to 10 times faster than customers on 3G networks.

Verizon Wireless announced today it will introduce the nation’s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to several new areas.
Today the 4G LTE network was introduced to:
- Barnstable, and six additional communities throughout Upper and Mid-Cape Cod
- Burlington, and more than 30 additional communities throughout Northern Vermont
- Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Delmarva’s beach communities, Virginia Beach and coming soon to North Carolina’s Outer Banks.
Verizon Wireless has also expanded the nations largest 4G Long Term Evolution network on Long Island.
Verizon Wireless customers with compatible 4G LTE smartphones, modems, tablets and mobile hotspots will be able to wirelessly share music and photos, surf the Web, and download files up to 10 times faster than customers on 3G networks.

Gospel legend CeCe Winans and GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, songwriter and producer, Donald Lawrence, will return in 2011 to co-host Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound™ – the country’s biggest gospel music celebration.
Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound tour provides a platform for church choirs to share and celebrate their faith and talent with people across the country. From September 15 - October 4, participating choirs will perform in front of gospel legends and fans and this year’s tour will travel to nine cities—Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington D.C., Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles and Oakland.
